    Richard is a commercial and tech lawyer with expertise across several jurisdictions.  He leads the Privacy practice group at Minter Ellison Rudd Watts and assists clients with the increasingly complex task of managing and commercialising data and personal information across its lifecycle - from collection and storage through to disclosure, transfer and use.  He is sought after to assist in privacy and data breach scenarios, and is a panellist for cyber breach insurance policies.  As well as his core practice, he is involved in sports and events governance – as Chair of the Elite Selection Panel for Triathlon New Zealand and previously as Deputy Chair of the New Zealand Events Association 2016-18.
