Tautua Pasifika eligibility

All applicants must meet the following criteria:

    • be of Pasifika descent
    • have been in governance for fewer than three-years
    • hold a current governance role; and
    • open to learning and sharing your governance experience

Applications are open to members and non-members of the IoD.

Other requirements 

The following requirements must be met in order to be eligible to apply for the programme.

    • You have the right to remain in New Zealand to work and study for a period of at least five years
    • You have never been disqualified as a company director in New Zealand or overseas
    • You are able to commit the time and travel required to participate in the programme. This means that:
      • you will be prepared to make time/ travel to attend two compulsory collaboration/ workshop sessions held in Auckland at a designated location
      • you will make time to meet regularly with your mentor (approximately 6-7 times over the 10-month period)
      • you commit time to properly prepare for mentoring sessions and undertake any necessary work allocated to you by your mentor between sessions
      • you are not planning to be out of the country for any significant period of time between February and December 2026
    • You are not already a director on the board of an NZX or large company
    • You are not currently participating in the IoD Emerging Directors, Mentoring for Diversity, Te Ara Tāwhaki NFP Mentoring or Future Directors programmes
    • You have read and understood the application criteria.
