Overview

How can boards help organisations achieve lasting transformation when they are under pressure from financial constraints, workforce challenges, competing priorities and rising stakeholder expectations?

Facilitated by Jane Cartwright, this fireside chat with David Meates and Carolyn Gullery will explore the lessons behind their soon-to-be-published book One System. Drawing on the large-scale transformation of the Canterbury health system between 2007 and 2020, the conversation will share insights that extend well beyond healthcare.

Hear practical perspectives on leading complex change, building trust and creating resilient, high-performing organisations – and what helps transformation endure.

Fireside chats are story-based, small group events where questions and discussion are actively encouraged. Due to the potentially sensitive nature of matters discussed, the Chatham House Rule will apply. Numbers are strictly limited.

If this event is fully booked on the website, please contact Canterbury.Branch@iod.org.nz to be placed on the waiting list.
