Understand what Responsible AI is, why it’s important and how it will help deliver transformational advantage
As more New Zealand businesses develop and deploy a range of AI tools for strategic advantage, it’s essential directors understand the opportunities and risks of this high-profile technology.
The State of AI Governance in Australia 2023 report found that company directors and senior executives see huge opportunities for AI to improve productivity, process efficiencies and customer service. But their investment in AI systems and skills has not been matched by investment in AI governance. Directors reported a lack of awareness, skills, knowledge and frameworks to use AI systems effectively and responsibly. These issues are even more pronounced in New Zealand.
Responsible AI is a governance framework that guides and documents how an organisation can maximise the benefits of AI while minimising potential risks, including stakeholder harm, compliance failures, liability, reputational damage and negative financial performance. It enables the design, development and deployment of AI systems in a way that is aligned with a company’s purpose and values, while still delivering transformative business impact. A Responsible AI framework includes the strategy, governance, processes, tools, and culture necessary to embed the approach across an organisation.
Register to learn how Responsible AI can help deliver the full value of AI systems, win the trust of your stakeholders and help you prepare for incoming regulation.
