Hear from 3R’s Chief Executive Adele Rose how boards can harness climate action as a driver of resilience, innovation and long-term value.
Climate change is no longer just an environmental or compliance issue, it’s a strategic imperative. Leading boards are moving beyond risk mitigation to position climate action as a source of competitive advantage, brand value and market leadership.
As customer expectations shift, regulations tighten and capital markets demand greater transparency, directors must steer their organisations to not only adapt but thrive in a low-emissions economy. Climate performance is increasingly seen as a proxy for good governance, future preparedness and brand integrity.
This session explores how climate leadership can differentiate your organisation – attracting talent, investment and customers while supporting sustainable growth. Learn how to embed climate into strategy, set targets, and communicate progress credibly. Key topics include climate risk governance, emissions reduction pathways, stakeholder engagement and aligning with international frameworks/customers.
Through an engaging address from Adele Rose, CE at 3R, attendees will gain practical insights and tools to lead with confidence in the climate space. Whether your organisation is just starting out or scaling its climate response, this event will help directors turn climate challenges into boardroom opportunities.
Adele is 3R’s CE leading a team of 50 working with multi-stakeholder companies/industries improving sustainability through product stewardship, waste reduction and resource recovery.
Adele’ skills include lateral, creative, and commercial thinking founded on 18 years practical experience. Working with diverse stakeholders across not-for-profit trusts, social enterprises, membership organisations, council, government and commercial entities not only requires commercial skills but also those in marketing/communication that influence behaviour change to effect change.
Adele was also selected to attend Al Gore’s Climate Leadership training corps and is a member of the Climate Reality Project – Australia & Pacific branch.
Adele’s current governance roles are as a Director of BusinessNZ, member of the Finance Audit and Risk Committee, and co-chair of the Āmiomio Aotearoa’s Advisory Board.
