Boards getting more involved in insurance/managing risk
The recently launched Marsh Survey of Risk has uncovered that boards' involvement in insurance / managing risk has increased in the last 12 months.
Marsh surveys a range of organisations on a biennial basis to determine what is happening in the risk landscape within New Zealand. Each year we dedicate a portion of the survey to understanding how the role of boards is changing in regards to risk management. The 2012 report discusses why 50.3% of boards have been getting more involved in risk. It also details the current top five risks, the top five emerging risks and how businesses are managing risk.
