Bobbie will discuss her role as chair of CEDA, why she put her hand up for the role and what she believes are important attributes in being an effective chair or board member.

Bobbie describes herself as someone who is very passionate about business, whether it’s running a business (CEO) or being a director/chair. Having been both, she understands the need for good governance and the importance this plays in the success or demise of a businesses.

Bobbie has sat on many boards with her first foray being on the school board of directors back in 2000, to her current role as chair of CEDA. She also sits on the national board for the RNZSPCSA, several SME’s and voluntary boards or trusts.  

Bobbie is a Chartered Accountant and partner in a local accounting practice ONLA. With her focus being business development and governance she is actively involved as a director and advisor across a wide range of entities and activities.
