Megan has been leading the Managed Isolation and Quarantine (MIQ) group since it became a business unit within MBIE on 13 July 2020. MIQ’s purpose is to ensure that New Zealanders do not have COVID-19 before they return to the communities.
Megan was previously the Deputy Chief Executive of the Corporate, Governance and Information group at MBIE, which works in partnership to support the operation and governance of the Ministry.
Before that, she was Chief Executive at NZ Health Partnerships, which is owned by New Zealand's 20 district health boards. It delivers national programmes and services. She was also Chief Executive of Health Purchasing Victoria for eight years and held senior line management and consulting roles in a range of industries including fast-moving consumer goods, manufacturing and professional services.
We have been monitoring government updates regarding COVID-19 and are keeping up to date with Ministry of Health guidance with regard to events and public gatherings.
