Connect with Waikato not-for-profits and explore opportunities to contribute your governance skills to the community sector.
Following the success of the inaugural Trustee Tinder event in 2025, the Institute of Directors is proud to support the return of this unique networking opportunity connecting not-for-profit organisations with prospective trustees and future governors.
Many Waikato not-for-profit organisations face increasing challenges attracting trustees with the skills, judgement and commitment needed to govern in a complex environment. Trustee Tinder was launched by WEL Energy Trustee Alan Chew, with support from Community Waikato and Volunteering Waikato, to help address this need and strengthen governance capability across the sector.
Join us and meet a diverse range of community organisations, hear about the important work they do, and explore how your skills, networks and experience could make a meaningful contribution.
This event is suitable for experienced directors, emerging governors and professionals interested in building their governance experience while supporting the Waikato community.
“Trustee Tinder” is a light-hearted name used informally for this community event and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Tinder or Match Group, LLC. No dating involved – just governance matchmaking.
Should you have any dietary, mobility, cultural or other requirements, you can let us know on the registration form.
By registering for this event you are confirming that you agree to adhere to our event terms and conditions.
Regrettably, registration fees cannot be refunded when cancellations are received within two working days prior to any branch event. See our standard terms and conditions for more information.
