Overview

What does Pasifika leadership mean in today’s governance and decision-making environments, and what responsibility comes with having a seat at the table?

Join us for a thought-provoking talanoa exploring Pasifika leadership through three connected dimensions – the table, influence and legacy.

We will explore how Pasifika leaders find their way into leadership, governance and decision-making spaces, and what happens once they are there. How can they use their voice and influence to contribute meaningfully? How can today’s leaders create opportunities and make the pathway easier for those who follow?

The conversation will consider:

  • The table – How do Pasifika leaders find their way into leadership, governance and decision-making spaces?
  • Influence – Once at the table, how can Pasifika leaders use their voice and influence to make a meaningful contribution?
  • Legacy – What can today’s leaders do to create opportunities and strengthen pathways for the next generation?

This event will move the talanoa beyond what it means to be a Pasifika leader and consider the broader contribution Pasifika leadership can make to organisations, communities and Aotearoa New Zealand.

Come ready to listen, share perspectives and consider the question: how do we use the seats we have to create opportunities for those coming behind us?
