Join our Young Directors Network event for a discussion and workshop outlining your first 90 days on a board.
Stepping into a first board role can be both exciting and daunting. The Learning Board is designed to help aspiring and early career directors build the confidence, capability and judgement needed to contribute effectively from day one.
This interactive session focuses on the practical realities of the boardroom. Through a panel discussion and facilitated workshop, participants will explore how to translate professional experience into governance value, understand expectations in a first term role, and navigate the critical first 90 days on a board.
Our speakers bring complementary perspectives, from emerging director experience through to seasoned governance leadership and mentoring. They will share candid insights on what Chairs look for, how new directors can add value early, and how to make the most of the IoD learning pathway.
Run in conjunction with our Young Directors Network Shared Interest Group, this is a supportive, hands-on session for those looking to strengthen their governance readiness and step forward with confidence.
