Panellists

Ana-Marie Lockyer

CEO and Executive Director Pie Funds 

As CEO, Ana-Marie is responsible for directing and executing the company's organisational strategy.

Ana brings over 25 years of broad banking and financial services experience including 10 years in the local and global Wealth teams at ANZ Bank. At ANZ Ana had a number of strategic and executive roles across insurance and investments, including executive responsibility for New Zealand's largest KiwiSaver Scheme and accountability for strategic decisions and performance of the wealth product suite. She also spent a further 10 years in commercial and product functions at Henderson Global Investors in London. Ana has also held governance roles for Pie Funds, ANZ Samoa and the Financial Services Council and most recently was Chief Executive Officer of AA Money. 

Ana qualified as a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is now a Member of Institute of Directors. She is passionate about financial literacy, savings and retirements outcomes for New Zealanders and diversity in the financial services industry. 

Trish Oakley 

Trish Oakley is a member of the IoD, Otago-Southland Branch committee chair, a representative on the IoD’s National Council and Director of the IoD’s board. She joined Forsyth Barr Ltd in March 2000 where she is Head of Summer.

Trish has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, having previously worked in banking and is chair of the Financial Services Council Strategic Research Committee. She is currently Pro Chancellor of the University of Otago, and director of University of Otago Holdings.

Trish is also a member of the New Zealand Lotteries Commission. Trish holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Otago.

Sarah Ottrey 

Sarah is a Chartered Fellow of the IoD and a graduate of the University of Otago. In Sarah’s 20-year executive career with Unilever and DB Breweries/Heineken she held senior marketing roles in New Zealand and internationally. Sarah created the Tui Yeah Right Campaign.

Sarah is currently Chair elect Christchurch International Airport, Chair The Whitestone Cheese Co; a director of The EBOS Group Ltd, Skyline Enterprises Ltd, Mount Cook Alpine Salmon, and Sarah Ottrey Marketing Ltd.  Past directorships include Comvita, The NZ Public Trust, Blue Sky Meats, The Smiths City Group, Inland Revenue Risk Assurance Committee and Wellesley College and its Foundation as Deputy Chair and Chair.

Mary Lewis

Mary has been in the finance sector for over 40 years, now specialising in financial advice and planning with a unique offering that balances wealth and life choices.

Mary has worked in and around finance for 40 years, is a chartered accountant and a financial adviser. Mary has worked for large professional firms, both internationally and in New Zealand, as well as commercial organisations. She has worked across sectors including financial services, property, IT, aged care, property, health, manufacturing, government, and sport. She has served on boards and volunteered her time and expertise with several business and community organisations.

In recent years, Mary created The Success Formula for women, facilitated and delivered personal finance workshops for Te Ara Ahunga Ora (the Retirement Commission) and corporate training in leadership, communications and many related topics. She has coached executives and businesses in financial performance based on ownership, transparency and purpose.

John Gallaher 

John Gallaher joined Forsyth Barr Dunedin in 1985 and is a Company Director  and Senior Investment Advisor with over 40 years of experience in financial services and industry,  covering  funds and investment management, commercial and chartered accounting, management and banking.

John is registered as a financial adviser and accredited as an NZX Adviser.  He has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Otago, majoring in Accountancy and Information Systems.  John is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA), a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Directors (CFInstD) in New Zealand and an Associate of the New Zealand Institute of Management (ANZIM).

He has been involved in Governance for over 20 years and  recently retired as Chair of Mercy Hospital Ltd and City Forests Ltd.  Currently Chair of Grow Dunedin Partners, Te Kupenga CLI, Deputy Chair of NZCEO Ltd / NZCEO Finance Ltd, and a Director of The Otago Rescue Helicopter Trust. He also has an active involvement in the non-profit and sporting sectors as Chair of the Catalytic Foundation NZ Inc and the William Sherriff Charitable Trust, Previous roles include President and Chair of Basketball NZ and a member of the FIBA Finance Commission.
