Overview

Director remuneration is always a hot topic – and rightly so. It reflects not only the expectations placed on directors, but also the value organisations place on effective governance. Join us as we delve into the findings of the IoD Directors’ Fees Report 2025/26 – New Zealand’s leading benchmark on governance remuneration.

We’ll explore what this year’s data reveals about pay trends across sectors, committee fees, workload pressures, diversity, and the evolving expectations of boards.
With perspectives from both the boardroom and the advisory side, this conversation will help you navigate what fair and fit-for-purpose fees look like in today’s environment.

What to expect:

  • Exclusive insights from the 2025/26 Directors’ Fees Report
  • Trends in fees across sectors, sizes, and structures
  • The changes in not-for-profit fees and the questions on equity, sustainability, and expectations
  • Emerging patterns in committee fees and chair differentials
  •  Practical tips for boards setting or reviewing fees
  •  Discussion on the governance value equation – balancing risk, responsibility, and reward
