Overview

Geopolitical events and increased remote working has led to more sophisticated and persistent cyber-attacks globally. No doubt you will have also read the media reports of multiple ransomware attacks over the past 18 months, impacting New Zealand businesses.  Being prepared has become even more important with the mandatory data breach notifications and new criminal offences introduced into the NZ Privacy Act late 2020 and overseas legislation too.

This event will cover the board’s role in a cyber incident plus we’ll hear from experts at the coalface of cyber incident response and planning.  It will also cover key questions to ask to be better prepared in responding to and minimising the impact of a damaging cyber security incident.
