Join us to hear perspectives from the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, and Minister for ACC.
Hon Scott Simpson will share perspectives from his roles as Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs and Minister for ACC. His address will touch on issues of importance to directors and governance professionals, with a focus on the wider economic and regulatory environment in which businesses operate.
The Minister will also outline some of the priorities currently on the Government’s agenda and reflect on matters of interest to New Zealand’s business community and decision-makers.
This will be an opportunity to hear directly from the Beehive on themes shaping the context for governance and leadership today.
Hon Scott Simpson brings more than 13 years of parliamentary experience to his current roles.
As Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, he is responsible for key areas at the heart of New Zealand’s economic and regulatory landscape, including financial markets, competition policy, and consumer protection.
In his capacity as Minister for ACC, Minister Simpson oversees one of the country’s most significant public institutions, central to the wellbeing of New Zealanders and their communities.
Minister Simpson has previously served in several senior positions, including Minister of Statistics and Chief Government Whip. His wide-ranging experience ensures he brings a considered and informed perspective to the business community. Minister Simpson also serves as the Member of Parliament for Coromandel.
