Chairing the board - video resource for community organisations
| |
This four part video series will help leaders of community organisations to step up to the role of chair. The videos are part of the National Action Plan for Community Governance which brings together organisations and community leaders to develop plans and resources to support you in your board roles in community organisations.
The Chairing the board video series draws on experiences of more than 30 experienced board chairs and what they wished they'd known in starting out on their governance journeys.
1. Back to basics
In this first video in the Chairing the board series, we look at the key things you need to know to get started as chair – what the role is all about and how to chair a great meeting.
2. Board dynamics
In the second video we investigate the dynamics around the board table and your role as chair in ensuring the board gets on and gets the job done.
3. Getting strategic
