Leadership in the Boardroom

Course description

This one-day course provides directors with a framework to enhance and build their leadership capability.

You will work through some scenarios to immerse yourself in a variety of situations commonly faced by boards. You will learn how to leverage different leadership approaches to get the desired results and add value to the organisation.

Duration

8.30am to 5.00pm. The session will be followed by optional networking drinks for an hour.

• The board’s role and responsibilities as leaders
• Adaptive leadership and how to use different styles of leadership to suit the situations
• How to build a high performing team and identify key talent on your board or leadership team
• Creating a leadership culture and exploring cultural maturity
• Understanding board dynamics.
• Troubleshooting and problem solving at the board table
• Driving a culture of continuous improvement
• The board’s role as company ambassador.
