Course description

This module will outline the importance of understanding accounting principles in relation to financial reporting.

We also do a deep dive into basic accounting principles, common financial reports you may come across as a director, and an explanation of each.

Finally, we explore the importance of understanding common financial terminology and language, so effective directors can identify problems and ask the right questions.

  • To be able to identify and recognise the types of financial reports, a director may receive.
  • To understand the difference and purpose between the various financial reports a director may receive.
