Overview

Celebrate the season with us at the beautiful Hamilton Gardens as we reflect on the year that’s been.  This festive evening is the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow members, share highlights, and raise a glass to the opportunities to come.

We are delighted to welcome Steve Allen, Chair of Tatua, as our guest speaker. Steve will share stories and insights on Purpose-Driven Leadership, exploring why enduring, successful organisations need a succession of passionate and focused leaders who are motivated by service—to people, communities, and countries.

Join us for an evening of connection, celebration, and thought-provoking conversation in one of Waikato’s most iconic settings.

Steve Allen

MInstD

A Tatua board member since 1996, Steve became Tatua Chair in 2003. Steve is a fifth-generation farmer whose family has been in the Piako district since 1886. The Allen family have been supplying Tatua since the end of World War 1.

Steve’s career has included time in the commercial sector with IBM New Zealand, and comprises extensive dairy industry experience with directorships on both the NZ Dairy Board and LIC (Livestock Improvement Corporation).

In addition to being a director of several private companies and a trustee of the Waikato-based David Johnstone Charitable Trust, Steve has participated in a range of dairy industry good activities, including the Waikato Dairy Leaders Group's work on sustainable dairying and water allocation, and the Industry Working Group review of options to improve NZ dairy’s genetic gain.
