Overview

Join the IoD Taranaki branch for an engaging session exploring the evolving role of the chair and what it takes to lead a high-performing board.

Drawing on insights from the recent IoD Conference, the event will feature selected video clips to prompt discussion, followed by a facilitated conversation and Q&A.

Together, we will explore:

  • The core purpose of the chair and how the role is changing
  • The chair–CEO relationship and leadership for success
  • Curating a high-performing board team
  • Leading through complexity and crisis while maintaining trust and integrity

Chairs play a critical role in creating the conditions for effective governance – shaping strategic agendas, fostering constructive debate, supporting CEO performance and championing strong board culture.

Facilitated by IoD Taranaki committee members Jessie Waite MInstD, Naomi Harris MInstD and Guy Roper MInstD, this session will include reflections from local governance leaders and opportunities for audience discussion.

Panellists announced soon.
