Overview

Join us for the launch of the 2025 Director Sentiment Survey as we explore the latest insights into the strengths, challenges, and evolving concerns of New Zealand’s governance community across a broad range of entities and sectors.

Conducted annually in partnership with the ASB, the Institute of Directors’ flagship survey captures what matters most to directors, offering a high-level view of the economic, business, and governance landscape from the boardroom perspective.

IoD General Manager – Governance Leadership Centre, Guy Beatson CMInstD, will be joined by Nick Tuffley, ASB Chief Economist, and Judene Edgar CMInstD, IoD Principal Governance Advisor, to discuss the most pressing issues facing boards today and the longer-term trends shaping governance practice in Aotearoa.

In this webinar, we’ll unpack findings on:

- Business and economic confidence
- Top issues on directors’ minds in 2025
- Short-term pressures and emerging risks
- Strategic and organisational governance concerns
- Ethics, culture, and conduct in governance
- The evolving role of AI, technology and innovation
- The growing complexity of the director role and future skills needed

This is a must-attend event for directors, executives, and governance professionals seeking to stay ahead of the curve in a rapidly shifting operating environment.
