Overview

Advisory boards are fast becoming a strategic tool for organisations seeking flexibility, external insight and agile decision-making—without the formality of a governance board. But what’s really driving their growth, and where do they fit in the governance landscape?

Join Paul Muckleston MInstD, Sandy Kimpton CMInstD, and Suse Reynolds MInstD in a dynamic conversation facilitated by Guy Beatson CMInstD, as they explore the evolving role of advisory boards in Aotearoa New Zealand’s governance ecosystem. This webcast will unpack the practical benefits and challenges of advisory boards, their increasing relevance in both commercial and not-for-profit sectors, and how directors can leverage them to enhance strategic thinking and organisational resilience.

What directors will gain from this webcast:

  • Insights into why advisory boards are gaining traction across sectors
  • Practical guidance on when and how to establish an advisory board
  • Perspectives from experienced directors on the value advisory boards bring to governance and leadership
  • Considerations for aligning advisory boards with organisational strategy and culture

Whether you're a seasoned director, governance professional, or exploring new ways to support organisational performance, this session will offer valuable takeaways and provoke fresh thinking.
