Overview

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly becoming part of everyday operations, yet many not-for-profit boards are still grappling with what it means for governance. Where does a board's responsibility begin and end? What risks should directors be considering? And how can organisations harness AI responsibly and effectively?

Join our Not-for-Profit Shared Interest Group for a practical discussion exploring the opportunities and challenges AI presents for charities, community organisations and other not-for-profit entities.

This webinar will be led by Judene Edgar, Principal  Advisor  ‑  Governance  Leadership, who will be joined by Jade Tang-Taylor, Co-Founder and CEO of simpact AI. Jade works at the intersection of technology, design, community and social impact, helping organisations use AI in ways that are practical, human-centred and aligned with organisational purpose. Drawing on insights from her recent IoD Governing AI Forum keynote, AI for Impact: How NFP Directors are Using AI, Jade will share real-world examples of how not-for-profits are beginning to use AI, along with the governance questions boards need to be asking.

Based on her view that "AI governance is not just a technical issue, it is a mission alignment issue", Jade brings a balanced perspective that explores both the opportunities AI presents and the risks boards cannot afford to overlook.
