Overview

In a volatile economic environment characterised by cost pressure, demand uncertainty, and rapid change, growth is harder to achieve and easy to get wrong.

This director deep dive explores how boards can govern growth with discipline while remaining ambitious, through an interactive discussion grounded in real-world experience.

  1. Strategic clarity
How clear is your strategic theory when playing to win?
  2. Resource allocation and capital
How do boards balance the need for more resource to deliver growth opportunities with available capital?
  3. Risk and resilience
Is risk appetite clear, and are assumptions sufficiently stress-tested?
  4. Leadership and capability
Do you have the leadership depth and to sustain growth?
  5. Execution and governance cadence
Is there sufficient visibility, rhythm, and a willingness to intervene early?

This session will challenge directors to reflect on their own boards, test assumptions, and share practical approaches to governing growth in uncertain conditions.

Directors' Deep Dive events are smaller interactive discussion-style sessions where you will be encouraged to ask questions and actively contribute your perspectives.
