Overview

Stepping into governance can be both exciting and challenging. At this First Break event, our panel of experienced directors will share how they built their governance careers — navigating transitions, developing board portfolios, and seizing opportunities.

The theme for the panel discussion: What can boards expect of their management team, and vice versa, provides conversation cohesion.

Following the panel discussion, you will have the opportunity to network with senior directors over drinks and canapés.

Join John Journee, Andrea Scown, and Daniel Haines as they discuss the evolving governance landscape, key insights on board-executive dynamics, and the role of executives in governance. This session supports aspiring and early-stage directors and offers valuable perspectives for experienced directors looking to refine their governance approach, stay ahead of emerging trends, and strengthen their impact across sectors. Whether you're starting out or looking to deepen your expertise, this discussion will provide fresh insights and practical takeaways.
