Is Kickstart right for your board?

Kickstart is a self-managed evaluation ideal for small to medium Not-for-profit boards, or boards who are just starting on their board evaluation journey.  

Guided by IoD’s Four Pillars of Governance Best Practice, Kickstart provides your board with the flexibility to set up, manage and complete the evaluation at a pace that suits you. Your board will be benchmarked against the five factors of board effectiveness: effective oversight, culture and behaviour, purpose and leadership, decision making and board operations and will receive contributor insights and actional recommendations to elevate your board’s practice and performance. 

Key features of Kickstart are: 

• • Access to your own secure evaluation dashboard to set up and run the evaluation to your required timelines – saving you and your board valuable time. We’ll even send friendly reminders to survey contributors to ensure high-levels of participation. 
  • 40 questions covering the key aspects of Not-for-profit governance as it relates to the five factors of board effectiveness.
  • The ability for all survey contributors to provide insightful commentary and feedback in a confidential way to encourage candour. 
  • An evaluation report securely shared with the nominated recipient(s) within an hour of the evaluation closing - or when all contributors have completed if sooner. 
  • Easy to interpret results for all survey questions and sections, anonymised contributor commentary, actional recommendations and a guide for how to use the evaluation insights and develop your board action plan. 

If your board has previously completed a Kickstart evaluation, we can provide your board with a trend report for a small additional fee.
