Felicity Caird

Felicity is a director and governance advisor with extensive leadership and board-level experience. She has worked with public, private, and not-for-profit organisations for more than 20 years, with particular expertise in membership-based bodies and complex stakeholder environments.

She currently serves on the boards of Racing New Zealand, Master Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers, and the Low Volume Vehicle Technical Association. Felicity is also an independent member on several audit and risk committees and other governance committees.

Felicity was also part of the senior leadership team at the Institute of Directors until 2022. As General Manager, Governance Leadership Centre & Membership, she led the IoD’s governance best-practice work, advocacy agenda, and member engagement programmes.

Felicity is highly experienced in facilitating governance training for boards, including post-evaluation workshops, and she regularly advises on governance reviews, board capability, composition, and succession planning.

She brings a constructive, collaborative, and future-focused approach to all her governance roles. Felicity is committed to strengthening governance across New Zealand and supporting boards to achieve organisational success, resilience, and long-term sustainability.
