Chartered Member and Fellow credentials

Chartered status is the mark of a committed, capable and trusted governance professional. It signals to the director community, stakeholders and boardrooms across Aotearoa New Zealand that you uphold high standards of governance practice and contribute meaningfully to the organisations you serve.

To recognise this achievement, we’re proud to release digital badges for Chartered Members and Chartered Fellows – a new way to showcase your expertise and leadership in governance.

Whether you’ve achieved Chartered Membership through the assessment pathway, or have been awarded Chartered Fellowship for your leadership and contribution, your badge represents the highest standards of practice. It’s a visible sign of your standing as a director, and your commitment to ongoing development and best practice governance.

Eligible members will receive a notification from Credly, our digital credential partner, inviting them to accept and share their badge. Once issued, your badge can be added to LinkedIn, your email signature, CV or online portfolio – providing a credible and shareable way to highlight your Chartered status.

This release builds on our commitment to recognise and celebrate governance leadership at every stage of the Chartered journey.
