Overview

Join fellow directors for a unique site visit to the Wildlife Hospital, a registered charity dedicated to the expert care and rehabilitation of Aotearoa’s native wildlife.

Board director Daniel Harmes MInstD will host a guided tour and share insights into the governance challenges and opportunities involved in running a specialist veterinary facility focused on conservation, education, and community engagement.

With more than 600 native patients treated annually — including kākāpō, hoiho, kiwi and tuatara — the Wildlife Hospital operates at the intersection of public good, cultural significance, and scientific excellence. Learn how governance supports this mission, from managing funding and community partnerships, to maintaining a high-performance team and contributing to national conservation outcomes.

Spaces are limited – early registration is essential.
