Overview

The UC Business School and the UC Centre for Entrepreneurship invite you to join them for this presentation with Dr Rod Carr, chair of the NZ Climate Change Commission.

This webcast will be a student led Q+A style discussion about fact, fantasy and the real choices facing us in response to climate change.  The focus of this webcast is to address common misconceptions and answer your questions about the choices that face New Zealand now and in the future.

Dr Rod Carr

Chair of the NZ Climate Change Commission

The Climate Change Commission provides independent, evidence-based advice to Government to help Aotearoa New Zealand transition to a low-emissions and climate-resilient economy. They also monitor and review Government’s progress towards emissions reduction and adaptation goals.

Dr Carr’s PhD in insurance and risk management, alongside his work leading the University of Canterbury through the earthquake recovery period, are excellent background for the incredibly important work that needs to be done in leading climate change resilience and adaptation.

Dr Carr has also served as deputy governor and chair of the Reserve Bank so has strong governance experience.
