Overview

COVID-19 has had a major impact on sport and recreation, from community participation to elite competitions, and challenged boards across the sector. As Group Chief Executive of Sport NZ, Raelene Castle is dealing with national and regional bodies as they navigate this complex environment. She will discuss the work Sport NZ is doing to shape the sector for a post COVID future, including improving board diversity, promoting good governance and encouraging organsations to use a futures approach.  Raelene will also share her experiences of working with the boards of major sporting organisations here and in Australia, and her thoughts on what makes a good board from a CEO perspective.

The breakfast will be followed by the Auckland Branch AGM, which will commence at 9:05am. Attendance at the AGM is complimentary. If you would only like to register for this, please email alexa.martinez@iod.org.nz
