Organisation description
Hineuru Iwi Trust was established on 15 March 2015 to serve as the Post-settlement Governance Entity for Ngāti Hineuru following settlement. Hineuru Iwi Trust holds and manages the Hineuru settlement redress.
Further, as the mandated entity for Ngāti Hineuru, Hineuru Iwi Trust represents the interests of the Iwi, and is committed to furthering the interests of the iwi in all aspects, including social, cultural, economic and environmental aspirations.
Particular skills/competencies sought
We are seeking to appoint two independent members to the Audit & Risk Committee: one to serve as Chair and one to serve as a Committee member.
If you have the following skills and experience we would like to hear from you:
- Proven strength in risk frameworks, internal controls, and audit oversight.
- Commercial and financial capability.
- The ability to cut through complexity, provide challenge, and uphold the highest standards of integrity.
- Previous Chair or committee leadership experience (for the chair role)
- Previous experience on an Audit and Risk committee.
Commitment required
Meetings are held quarterly, with each meeting of a duration between two and five hours.
Term
The appointment will be for a three-year term.
Geographical considerations
Meetings will be held in person in Napier, Hawkes Bay.
All travel will be arranged, and reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
