Keen to step up in governance? Get honest advice from those who’ve been where you are.
Back by popular demand, this 2025 session builds on the success of last year’s event – continuing the conversation and expanding the insights for those looking to grow their governance careers.
Chaired by Jeffrey Broughton, this relaxed panel discussion features local governors Rachel McLauchlan, Tony Allison and Kate Keddell – each sharing their personal journeys, lessons learned, and the steps that helped them progress in governance.
Jeffrey, Tony and Kate are all past Emerging Director Award recipients, and Kate is also a 2025 Mentoring for Diversity mentee – offering a unique perspective on early-stage development and support for aspiring directors.
Whether you're just starting out or exploring your next step, this session will offer practical advice, honest reflections, and tips to help you navigate your path.
We’ll also share key details about the 2025 Emerging Director Award – including who’s eligible, how it works, and how to put your best foot forward. Applications open 14 July and close 11 August 2025.
This event is complimentary for IoD members and non-members.
Thank you to branch sponsor Anderson Lloyd for hosting this event.
