Dr Kavi Singh (PowerNet) and Dorian Devers (Contact Energy) will combine forces to deliver 'Supporting our Customers to Decarbonise Industrial Process Heat' and 'Contact26 Leading the decarbonisation of NZ'

Dr Kavi Singh will present on how PowerNet are supporting customers to decarbonise industrial process heat; Objective: to better understand customer’s thinking and plans for decarbonisation.
Contact Energy’s CFO, Dorian Devers will present Contact26 leading the decarbonisation of New Zealand. He will give an overview of the electricity industry and Contact Energy’s strategy to leverage its renewable electricity development pipeline to Lead the decarbonisation of New Zealand. Finishing with an energy executive’s thoughts on important related governance topics.
A Q&A session will follow the two presentations.
Kavi joined PowerNet in 2018 as the General Manager New Energy Development & Strategy. He provides strategic leadership on opportunities from decarbonisation, new energy technologies and evolving customer expectations that will influence future business model and operations.
Prior to PowerNet, Kavi was based in UK and held executive roles in global energy sector companies with accountability for delivering products and services that optimise operations and investments of electricity generation, network and trading businesses in Europe, Middle-East, Africa and Asia-Pacific. In earlier career, he worked in NZ for Mercury and Vector in management and operational roles.
Kavi is an accomplished and entrepreneurial executive, with a customer-centric approach and extensive experience in leading businesses and delivering growth. He has an engineering degree, a PhD in operations management and optimisation, and is a member of the NZ Institute of Directors.
Dorian joined Contact in December 2018 as Contact’s Chief Financial Officer. Dorian is experienced in business transformations having led successful turnarounds of businesses in both the UK and South Africa. He has successfully delivered a number of acquisitions including ones in the Australian and New Zealand energy sector. He has governance experience having served on the Board of Afrox a publicly listed company and the largest industrial gases business in Africa, as well as being a previous Board member of Liquigas a New Zealand LPG infrastructure business.
