Join us for a light lunch and a conversation sharing insights and paradoxes of world-famous Dunedin Study’s governance group.
Laura Black is the first independent chair of the world-famous Dunedin Study’s governance group, with responsibility for securing a sustainable financial future and succession planning to the third director of the Study.
The constraints of the University model, the principles the study was founded on, new thinking about data governance, and the chance for significant diversification into intervention design and deployment are all in play as the Study transitions to a new leadership.
We welcome University of Otago Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Richard Barker, CMInstD to chair this session.
This event is also being livestreamed - to register for livestream
Laura Black is currently the Chair of the Dunedin Health and Multidisciplinary Research Study Governance Group (University of Otago), Co-Chair of the Otago Regional Skills Leadership Group (MBIE), Deputy Chair of the Te Puna National Library Foundation, Deputy Chair of the Tūhura Otago Museum Trust Board, and Director of Methodist Mission Southern.
She has been a member of the IoD since 2009 and held governance roles since 1990.
