Overview

Elizabeth Proust’s mother was discouraged from going to university. Proust has said this was a motivator for her own long and distinguished career, which has encompassed commercial management, public sector roles and a celebrated CV in governance.

She is Chairman of Cuscal Ltd (a payments company), non-executive director of Lendlease (a global real estate and development company), Lead Independent Director of GQG Partners (funds management), and is on the Fujitsu Oceania Advisory Board. Elizabeth is the immediate Past Chairman of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.  Since 2005 she has served on listed, not for profit, and other boards including as Chairman of Nestle Australia and Chairman of the Bank of Melbourne.

Proust is an outspoken advocate for women in governance and a trailblazer in Australian boardrooms. She is known for urging women to have confidence in their own abilities and trust themselves to take on new and challenging roles.

She will speak about achieving success, whether as an executive or non-executive director, and offer insights into the guidance that she has enjoyed over a long career, as well as tips for a successful transition from executive to non-executive life.
