Overview

Michael Stiassny is an experienced director who has held a significant number of private and public directorships. Michael specialises in strategic advice and dispute resolution. Prior to his governance career he worked as a senior corporate governance and insolvency practitioner.

Michael will share his insights on navigating the COVID-19 crisis, and using it as an opportunity to foster greater resilience and innovation to prepare New Zealand for the future.

Michael Stiassny

Michael is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Directors in NZ and is also past president of the Institute of Directors. He is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (retired). He has both a commerce and law degree.

Michael is currently chairman of Ngati Whatua Orakei Whai Rawa Limited, Tower Limited, director of a number of other companies and board member of the Financial Markets Authority.
