An opportunity to learn more about the IoD and network with other members
Members who have recently joined the IoD (or those keen to re-connect) are invited to attend an informal lunch hosted by branch chair Geordie Hooft and branch committee members. This is an opportunity to network with local members and learn more about the IoD’s governance resources and services, helping you get the most from your membership.
Nick Carter, partner and executive director at Brannigans, will be joining us to discuss some tips for developing your governance career including putting together an effective governance CV.
Nick is a partner and executive director of Brannigans, a leading Christchurch based consultancy specialising in executive and governance appointments, leadership development and HR Advisory. Nick is actively involved in senior executive and governance appointments as well as jointly responsible for the day to day leadership of the team and key client relationships.
Nick is a current board member of the Sumner Lifeboat Institution, New Zealand Skills in Demand, the Advisory Board of the University of Canterbury MBA School and sits on the Canterbury Branch Committee of the Institute of Directors. Nick holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Canterbury.
All attendees at IoD events must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and show a My Vaccine Pass on arrival at the event. If you have a medical exemption and a My Vaccine Pass you may still be able to attend.
For more information on our vaccine policy and safety plan see our Covid-19 updates' page.
Regrettably, registration fees cannot be refunded when cancellations are received within two working days prior to any branch event.
