Anthony Leighs founded Leighs Construction in 1995. The company’s purpose is to create a better future for its staff and clients and for our communities and environment through the design and construction of important and significant buildings. Leighs completes a wide range of vertical and social infrastructure projects for the NZ Government such as hospitals, education and research facilities.
An adventurous spirit, along with an ability to embrace challenges and innovation contributed to Leighs being the first construction company to build for the New Zealand Government in Antarctica, with the construction of the Hillary Field Centre at New Zealand’s Scott Base in 2004. Anthony, along with the Project Manager were joint winners of the NZIOB Supreme Award and Innovation Award in 2005 for this project.
Leighs has completed all other the other major construction projects at Scott Base since, including additions and alterations to the main base, remote location laboratories and the wind turbine foundations.
Anthony is a NZIOB member, a director of Ryman Healthcare and a previous Chair of New Zealand Master Builders. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Directors New Zealand.
Prior to moving to New Zealand in 2014, Kate Morrison spent 20 years working in investment banking in the UK, with Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs and, most recently, Deutsche Bank, where she held a variety of senior roles in the areas of financial risk management, structured financing and investments.
Kate is now a professional director and sits on the boards of companies including Christchurch International Airport, Heartland Group Holdings and FarmRight. She also chairs the The New Zealand Merino Company and Link Engine Management boards.
Paul Bingham is Chairman of the digital creative platform Shuttlerock, Chair of Black Cat Cruises and Entrada Travel Group. He’s Deputy Chair of ChristchurchNZ and has also served on the boards of Air New Zealand, Ngai Tahu Tourism and Christchurch & Canterbury Tourism.
Paul's career has spanned roles in a range of companies including ad agencies, airlines and tourism companies. He has been based in Asia, the UK, and the US before returning to live in his home town of Christchurch 20 years ago.
He’s a trustee of the Banks Peninsula Conservation Trust and the Christchurch Foundation.
Kendall Langston is a Partner and Strategic Business Advisor at strategic business advisors Pivot & Pace.
Kendall has been a professional leader for over 30 years, a journey that continues to energise, challenge and one that he remains passionate about. Leadership has taken him around the world as an Army Officer, Consultant, Board Chairman and Chief Executive.
Like most leaders it has not been without challenge, failure, success, highs, lows, recessions and periods of massive growth. The constant has been people and the challenge of adapting, influencing, guiding and learning from talented leaders. In his current role he gets to work closely with and positively influence business leaders at the top of their game as they seek to perform at the highest level.
Greg Allnutt, MNZM, is a Partner at Pivot & Pace Ltd. He works as a strategic advisor to many boards of directors, board chairs and is currently the Independent Chair for Jani King New Zealand and formerly Chair of Surfing New Zealand.
As an executive leadership coach and strategy expert, he works closely with a number of executive teams of medium sized businesses across New Zealand, Australia and the USA. He is an author, business speaker and is passionate about ensuring that businesses navigate and thrive in change.
