Overview

The past few years have been challenging for us all, but particularly for the for-purpose (not-for-profit) sector.   We all rely upon one another for our success, but no more so than in this sector.

Hear from panellists and experienced chairs Dan Te Whenua Walker, Alison Taylor and Judy Whiteman, moderated by Dame Jo Brosnahan, about how collaborative leadership and governance can guide your success.

Collaboration takes many forms, but it always requires a commonality of purpose and the sharing of responsibility for outcomes. It involves Whakawhanaungatanga/connecting together and building mutual respect and trust, Kotahitanga/ building futures together, as well as distributed authority and transparency.

Collaboration can occur at many levelsaround the board table and with the executive, with stakeholders and sponsors, other organisations, and the community at large.  And it can drive success that we struggle to achieve on our own. This stimulating conversation and story-telling will cover collaborative governance in practice – partnerships, behaviours, and examples.
