Overview

The evening provides a great opportunity to reconnect with colleagues and peers within your networks and enjoy a social gathering over a delicious meal. 

This is an invitation only event for IoD members and early registration is recommended as numbers are strictly limited.

Jennifer Vernon

Jennifer is the current Chair of New Zealand National Fieldays Society and Crown appointee of the New Zealand Geographic Board. She has recently retired as chair of Resource Management accredited hearings for the Justice of Peace and is currently a Principal Policy Advisor for MPI.

Jennifer has held many diverse roles over the years. She was previously Independent Chair of Hill Country Futures Landscape Programme, trustee for Agri-Women's Development Trust and Rural Leaders Trust, Crown appointee to Freshwater Investment Fund, Waikato River Authority, Guardians Establishment Committee, Waikato University and on the Council, Board of Inquiry for the National Policy Statement on Freshwater Management, Board of Inquiry for the Tauhara II Power Station. Additionally, Jennifer was Chair for Environment Waikato and National President of Young Farmers Clubs.

Jennifer holds a Master of Management Studies with first class honours, a Post Graduate Diploma in Environment Law and Management and a Bachelor of Social Science. She has been awarded Nuffield Scholar, Kellog Scholar, New Zealand Women's Suffrage medal, and is a member of the New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM).
