Ty Wiggins advises leading companies on leadership transitions and executive onboarding to ensure more expedient paths to effectiveness. Based in London, Ty is one of only a handful of people globally with a Ph.D. in senior leadership transitions. He harnesses his deep academic, consulting and coaching background to provide CEOs, boards, and senior leaders across industries with the advice, support, challenge and insight needed to start well and perform quickly.
His book, The New CEO, is out in May 2024. Based on original research and candid conversations with world-leading CEOs, it offers a backstage pass to nailing your first year as CEO—whether it’s your first, second, or third time in the role.
Before joining Russell Reynold Associates, Ty founded Converge Consulting, an executive-development focused firm. While leading that company, he worked with regional and international clients to develop leaders during transitions into C-suite roles. Previously, Ty was a sessional lecturer within the Master of Business Coaching Program at the University of Wollongong. He also spent 10 years working in the financial services industry after starting his career as a professional basketball coach.
Ty holds a BS in social sciences from the University of South Wales. He also holds a Master of Business Coaching, MBA, with honors, and PhD in leadership transitions from Sydney Business School at the University of Wollongong.
