Mike Pero Real Estate Ltd
A name synonymous with mortgages and real estate since. He’s grown to become a household name though his own initiatives and marketing skills. In his own words, he started life on the poor side of town. Left school at 16. Qualified as a motorcycle mechanic, company director at 21, airline pilot at 28 and started his own brand at age 30. Seems to have worked.
Chief Customer Officer for Z Energy
Jane is the Chief Customer Officer for Z Energy - leading marketing, product development, customer experience, loyalty and design at Z. She is a current director of Scots College and a former director of Flybys scheme provider Loyalty NZ. Prior to coming to Z Energy, Jane was with Shell for 14 years in a variety of local and global brand, marketing and operations positions in NZ, Australia, the UK and Europe. Jane is passionate about the role of marketing in leading organizational change with a focus on creativity, customer centricity, digital and technology and the use of data combined with intuition to inform decisions.

Ekant joined the University of Canterbury from the University of Bath in 2010. His primary areas of interest include the use of marketing technologies & advertising to encourage social change and the role that consumption patterns play in developing consumer identity. Along with being published in a number of international journals, such as Marketing Letters, the European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Management, and the International Journal of Advertising, Ekant has been involved in projects to improve healthy living in conjunction with the WHO, various NGOs and Government bodies.

Michelle works with business owners on digital strategy. She helps develop the business 'growth engine', with a marketing strategy and the right tools to increase sales. She believes in the importance of authenticity, and telling your business story effectively. Michelle is passionate about supporting businesses to thrive in a post-COVID environment. Michelle has been a business co-founder (hospitality franchise), and over the last decade she has gained extensive experience working in hi-growth global SaaS technology companies. As Programme Director for the Kiwi Fin-Tech Accelerator last year she had responsibility for the commercialisation success of a portfolio of start-up and scale-up companies disrupting the financial services sector.
