Join our After 5 with Patrick Strange, chair of Auckland Airport and Chorus on making board/ CEO relationships work.
The most important role of the board is to employ the CEO. The relationship between the two is imperative to the success of any organisation. Patrick will speak on his experience as a board member and a chair, on the importance of the relationship between the CEO and the board, how to make it work, and how to handle conflicts and difficulties.
Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and network afterwards.
Drinks and canapés will be served.
Patrick is chair of Auckland Airport and Chorus. He is also a director of Mercury Energy. Previously, he has been a director of NZX Limited, Contact Energy and Networks NSW. Patrick was chief executive of Transpower from 2007 to 2013 and, earlier, of Vector.
Patrick lives on the Tutukaka coast.
