Course description

Protecting and supporting the mental health and wellbeing of workers is both the right thing to do and a legal obligation. Improved workplace wellbeing has a positive impact on business performance and productivity.

The Health and Safety at Work Act requires organisations to manage risks to workers including mental health.  This online module has been developed to support directors and boards in their role in relation to workplace mental health and wellbeing.

  • To understand the board's role in relation to workplace mental health and wellbeing
  • To be able to identify and understand the framework for managing health and wellbeing at work
  • To understand the legal obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015
  • To be able to identify key examples of work-related health risks and health-related safety risks.
