Hear from the Takeovers Panel on the rules for takeovers under the Takeovers Code
An independent Crown entity, the Takeovers Panel is responsible for regulating takeovers of public listed and unlisted companies in New Zealand. The Panel’s mandate is to ensure transparency in changes of control of those companies, and the equitable treatment of all shareholders.
Directors play a vital role in takeovers. Andrew’s presentation will give an overview of rules for takeovers under the Takeovers Code and the Companies Act, with a focus on what directors need to know in order to ensure the best outcomes for shareholders.
Andrew Hudson is Chief Executive of the Takeovers Panel. He is a Member of the Institute of Directors and a qualified lawyer. Andrew has spent nearly 20 years as a corporate lawyer, with a focus on public and private M&A transactions. His experience includes private practice and in-house roles.
