New Zealand continues to be in the midst of an uncertain and challenging Directors & Officers Liability (D&O) insurance market. The IoD takes a closer look at the new and emerging risks affecting market uncertainty in D&O insurance – a rising sea of change, a report published in partnership with Dentons Kensington Swan and Marsh NZ.

The IoD’s 2021/22 Directors’ Fees Report found that 85.1% of organisations provided directors with liability insurance (up from 78.5% the year prior), so we know this is a topic directors and boards around the country will be paying close attention to. This report explores the challenges of long-term business sustainability facing boards today and the increasing influence of social and environmental considerations and risks.
