The Institute of Directors and ASB are pleased to release the 2020 Director Sentiment Survey report, which takes the pulse of the director community. While the report shows that organisations have been upended by COVID-19, directors see glimmers of hope ahead, particularly for the organisations they oversee.

The report provides a valuable snapshot of how directors are feeling about their operational and strategic environments, as well as the broader economy. In a year of unparalleled upheaval, directors have indicated that their boards have moved quickly to adapt to rapid change and that staff welfare is a growing priority. Having the right capability and resources on boards is also a key focus, particularly in an increasingly digital world.

Felicity Caird, GM, IoD Governance Leadership Centre and Nick Tuffley, Chief Economist ASB highlight key findings from the report
