Creating a governance CV

A governance CV is different to an executive CV. Governance skills, experience, training, and relevant memberships should be prominent to show governance capability.

This guide help improve CVs to reflect governance experience and achievements.

A governance CV should:

  • detail your experience of working with boards
  • describe the size and type of organisations you have worked with
  • list your governance and work histories.

Members of the Institute of Directors may upload their governance cv if they opt-in to Director Search, IoD's director appointment service.
