Overview

Joost will summarise issuers’ core obligations under the NZX Listing Rules. There will be particular focus on (i) those obligations that feature director involvement, and (ii) recent guidance and Tribunal determinations that are relevant to NZ RegCo’s expectations on market practice, including:

  • Continuous disclosure and disclosure practice generally
  • Financial reporting
  • Capital raisings

Kristin will provide an update in relation to relevant policy initiatives that will be undertaken by NZX in 2022, including the current review of the NZX Corporate Governance Code.

Joost van Amelsfort

Joost is the Chief Executive of NZ RegCo, the independently governed agency responsible for the regulation of NZX's cash and derivatives markets, and NZX Clearing. Joost joined NZX in 2014, as inaugural Head of Market Supervision. Joost has 20 years' legal experience advising capital markets participants, including roles with Simpson Grierson and Linklaters LLP, London and Dubai. Joost's particular areas of expertise include corporate governance, equity and debt capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions. He is a current member of the External Reporting Advisory Panel.

Kristin Brandon

Kristin is Head of Policy and Regulatory Affairs at NZX and is responsible for leading the development of NZX’s market rules, practices and policies. Prior to joining NZX in 2007, Kristin worked in legal private practice including in corporate and commercial and financial services teams at DLA Piper and Chapman Tripp in New Zealand, and Dechert LLP in London.
